Would you like to be trained by a doctor?
Not all personal trainers are created equal. At Recharge, our personal trainers are also a Chiropractic Physician and a Registered Nurse, making them extremely qualified. Contact our passionate staff to hear about what separates us from the rest!
Performance therapy is our upgraded version of traditional personal training. Personal training is conducted by a personal trainer in a gym. Performance therapy is clinician supervised training in our office. These sessions integrate a unique blend of strength training, corrective exercise, education, and/or manual therapy depending on each individual client. These sessions are tailored to address specific goals, weaknesses, and/or required modifications which are uniquely client specific. Dr. Adam Morris takes the time to build comprehensive training programs that improve mobility, increase strength, decrease pain, enforce proper movement patterns, and optimize compliance and success.

Sports Specific Training
Specialized training at Recharge is designed with thoughtful programming and energy system utilization with the main goal being strength, power, and/or endurance adaptations. The time spent in the training room should be efficient and composed of training modalities that will help to cause adaptations that will allow for better performance on the track, field, court, etc.
The goal of sport-specific training should be to maximize the potential of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and motor control in order to have the most transferability from the training room to the athletic endeavor. Tissues that are stronger and more powerful are able to produce more force against external resistance. External resistance doesn’t have to be a barbell or dumbbell, but can be a pickle ball, golf ball, tennis ball, bike pedals, etc. Come in to Recharge and start your journey to become a better athlete.

Why Personal Training?
It is a fact that resistance training is great for the vast majority of people because of its positive effects on body composition, pain management properties, cardiovascular benefits, and its ability to help co-manage other ailments and disorders. There are many reasons to start personal training, but here is a short list that hyperlinks some important research studies showing the benefits.
- Resistance training has profound effects on the musculoskeletal system. (Winett, R., & Carpinelli, R. (2001). Potential Health-Related Benefits of Resistance Training. Preventive Medicine, 33(5), 503-513. doi: 10.1006/pmed.2001.0909)
- Resistance training helps maintain muscle mass as adults age which increases their ability to remain independent (hyperlink Murlasits, Z., Reed, J., & Wells, K. (2012). Effect of resistance training frequency on physiological adaptations in older adults. Journal Of Exercise Science & Fitness, 10(1), 28-32. doi: 10.1016/j.jesf.2012.04.006)
