What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture treatment involves inserting very thin needles through the skin at strategic points on the patient’s body. Acupuncture is a key component of traditional Chinese medicine. Our acupuncturist, Dr. Jay Chang, is a Doctor of Chinese medicine, and is well-versed and experienced in the treatment of acupuncture. Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a way to balance our chi. Chi are energy points that are believed to flow through meridians in our bodies. By inserting needles into specific points, it is believed that acupuncture therapy can re-balance these meridians in the body, relieving many symptoms such as pain, headaches, respiratory disorders, and much more.
